"ORIGINAL GEOCACHE - MAY 3, 2000"

After getting settled at our campsite, off we went today around 1:30 p.m.  Rod's mission was to find the   "Original Stash Tribute Plaque" where geocaching got its start.  On May 3, 2000, a five-gallon bucket was placed at that very spot.  The coordinates were then listed on the Internet and modern-day geocaching was born!  Rod now is among those to find the Original Stash Tribute Plaque geocache.  Thus, the reason we are staying in Woodburn, Oregon was for Rod to locate this first geocache.  Rod's mission was accomplished.  Woodburn is  about 35 miles from the location of the original geocache.

I have included some other photos of what we saw out and about this afternoon.  The sun did come out and temperature did reach 70 degrees.  A very pleasant day, concluding with "linner" and fresh Marionberry pie.  Umm, umm, good!  Great day for us after another 90 miles of driving.
