With one old brochure I picked up in the campground office a couple of days ago, Rod and I had quite an adventure on a good old-fashioned country drive. The best thing I like about a big city is to get out of it and take in some great, clean country air. Today was the day for that.
The brochure listed Geocaching coordinates to various locations, but were not part of the actual geocaching process Rod and others are use to doing. However, this got us out and about for 215 miles on some fabulous finds of other sorts. Temperatures ranged from 58 degrees to a high of 74 degrees during the day. We were pleased with Road Runner averaging 20.1 miles per gallon.
This first post will show some of the countryside without too much explanation. I will follow up with other posts from specific stops on our self-guided tour. Enjoy the ride with us as we discover rural attractions, some history, markets, and some of their local cuisine.
Janice, Rod keeps asking "you" if you're enjoying the ride from the backseat. Sorry we were unable to stop at a quilt shop today as it didn't open until Wednesday. Here is just a start of our day full of exciting adventure. Hope you enjoy the country with us.

Love the photo of the 'cute' church. The green is soooo green. What a contrast between the new house and the old house. Great shots Marge. Well done girl!!!!!!!!!!!1
