"SHELBY MONTANA TO COCHRANE CANADA

Our trip to Cochrane, Alberta, Canada was a pleasant one, especially at the Border.  We arrived at 7:50 a.m. and were back on the road at 7:52 a.m.  Sounds like a record to me of two minutes of actual time spent with the Border Patrol Agent.  It was a sunny 61 degrees at this time.

We will be staying in Cochrane for the next 11 nights, leaving here on July 11, when we head west via British Columbia and back home to California.  Cochrane is approximately 20 miles northwest of Calgary, and definitely a little bit more country than Calgary.  We both like the country setting.

I especially liked road signs I saw that stated, "Distracted Driving Law in Effect."  Now that is all encompassing isn't it?  If only people would adhere to this law!

Driving Miles:   267          Driving Time:   4 hours 45 minutes
Left at 7:15 a.m.     Arrived at 12:00 P.M.
Average Miles Per Gallon:   12.1
Temperatures:   Morning:  55 Degrees        Afternoon:  72 Degrees

  1. Loved seeing your travel pictures, Marge. Green valleys, blue water, snow-capped mountains - Does it get any better than that??? Montana is beautiful! Glad you had a good experience at the border too, as we've heard a few horror stories about that. Enjoying the blog. thanks for sharing.
